This year we are celebrating our annual Halloween Campout at Lake Pleasant and the theme for the weekend is ” what evil lurks in the swamps around the Tents and RV’s by the Lake.’
All monsters, mass murderers, chainsaw carrying lumberjacks, clowns from outer space, psychos, and of course Lizzy Borden & Charles Manson (they’re an item now) are invited to the Saturday night Ghoul banquet and Best Dressed Ghoul contest. There will be prizes for the Best Ghoul; Sickest Couple; and Creepiest Little Dog!!!

On Friday night bring your best witches’ brew to the Campfire for a round of  “not your prettiest moment, DEARIE” stories and roasted marshmallows.  Ooh, some buns might get roasted that night!!
On Saturday afternoon in honor of all the newly Married Couples in AZ, we will be playing the
NEWLYWED GAME.  A fabulous home appliance will be given to the winning couple.

For Saturday’s dinner DA will provide lasagna (both meat and meatless) and cheese tortellini alfredo plus a salad.  Guests are asked to bring a Creepy appetizer or desert and a beverage of your choice.  Of course, DA will have all the eating utensils and plenty of  cold water.  Both Saturday and Sunday DA will have coffee in the pavilion for everyone.

The total cost for the weekend is $25 for members and $30 for non-members.  If you only want to come for the dinner Saturday night and all the festivities, it is only $10 per person.

Directions: Take I-17 north to the Carefree Hwy exit and get off.  Go left on Carefree Hwy (Rt. 74) west until you get to Lake Pleasant.  Go past the first road that goes to the Harbor and about 2.5 miles farther west you will see the next paved road to your right. This is N. Castle Hot Springs Rd., turn right.  Take it to the park entrance road on your right.  Take that to the park ranger gate.  Tell the rangers you are with DA at the Raccoon Camp site.
