Tours are approximately 2 hours and include the Castle's main floor and basement. Extensive grounds & cactus gardens surrounding the Castle are in comfortable trams.
A docent takes us through the Carraro Cactus Gardens on a tram. The tour winds through the beautiful 44 acres, viewing the outer buildings, before arriving at Tovrea Castle. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Walking is minimal.
Plan on arriving at the Visitor Center, 5025 E. Van Buren in Phoenix, 15 minutes before your tour begins. Bring water for your tour. Please ensure all containers are capped.
Photography is allowed. Flash photography is not permitted inside the Castle.
The tour will begin via trams and you will be driven around the property where you will see the unique cactus gardens and outdoor features. The trams will then take you to the Castle where you’ll have an opportunity to go back in time and learn about the man inspired to build the castle and the people that made it their home. The tour will conclude in the visitor center & is approximately 2 hours.

After the tour, for those who are interested, we will have a special Mother’s Day Brunch at Keegan's. If you are interested in joining us for the Brunch, contact the trip leaders ASAP. If we have enough interest, we can book the private room. You can join us for Brunch even if you are not doing the Castle Tour.
