Situated in the stately ponderosa pines, this site encompasses approximately 5 acres and is an old Forest Service Work Center. The elevation there is approximately 6950 feet.
You can arrive anytime after 1 pm on Thursday. Please keep gate closed. The site features: grills, picnic tables & vault toilets. There is a group fire pit, which is the only place a fire may be started (restrictions may be in place). There is no water or trash collection so please plan accordingly. We will have a recycle bin for soda cans and clear plastic bottles. Remember to bring food, water, hiking gear and firewood. Your moderately behaved dogs are welcome. Quiet time is from 10 pm till 6 am.
On Friday, join us down the road for a Friday Night Fish Fry & Sunday morning for breakfast at the Long Valley Café.
On Saturday, we gather around the eating area at 4 pm for appetizers, please bring an appetizer to share. Dinner will be served at 5 pm & will feature Roasted Turkey, Mashed Potatoes & Cobb Corn. Side dishes & dessert will be provided, so please just bring an appetizer. Check out time on Monday is 11 am.
There are cabins in Strawberry
