River Island offers sites ideal for RV camping, up to 65 feet deep. These sites are complete with 50, 30, & 20-amp service, and all with water. There are also beachfront campsites on the grass overlooking the Colorado River with 20-amp service and water. These sites are great for tent camping and small campers up to 24 feet.
We have reserved 6 sites. Once we fill the 6 sites, you can join the waitlist. Someone will confirm that there are still sites available and contact you. The River Island Market, located 1/4 mile outside the park, offers groceries, food deli, gas, clothing boutique and storage.
The dump station located at the SW side of the park across from the Ranger Station. No charge to registered campers. The park has two accessible restroom/shower buildings located at both ends of the park. The park also has a trash dumpster and a off leash dog area. Dogs are also allowed on the beach to the EAST of the boat ramp.
There is a trail located right in the park and takes hikers up Wedge Hill for commanding views of Colorado River country. The trail network of nearby Buckskin Mountain State Park is easily accessed via the connecting trails at River Island. Your RI park vehicle tag will let you access Buckskin Mountain SP.
