Sabino Canyon Crawler, an emission-free electric shuttle, enhances the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area experience and is designed to protect the area’s natural and cultural resources. Feel the magic of nature as you ride a convenient, comfortable shuttle through the wonders of Sabino Canyon. The electric shuttle journey begins at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area Visitor Center and carries passengers on a one-hour round trip. The Crawler is wheelchair accessible.
The electric shuttles have reduced seating to 49 passengers and offer an enhanced interpretive program that shares details about how Sabino Canyon was formed, what kind of plant and wildlife live in the canyon, seasonal changes that occur in the canyon, plus important historical and cultural information.

An individualized automated narration system allows each passenger to plug provided earbuds in at their seat to enjoy a unique experience and shield non-shuttle canyon visitors from noise and sounds. Everyone has the opportunity to enjoy details about the natural environment, cultural history, and diverse flora and fauna of the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. Restroom facilities are available at the following locations: Visitor Center, Lower Sabino, Cactus Picnic Area, Sabino Canyon Shuttle Stops 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8.
There is a Sabino Canyon Recreation Area entry fee of $8 per vehicle. A Coronado National Forest or Interagency (America the Beautiful) pass can be used.
